I know the idler arm is a week link in the steering and I've seen braces for them. What kind of failure do you usually see with them? Worn out bushing, bent, broken. Also has anybody used one of these? (link below)

Lifetime warranty, looks allot beefier then stock.

the bolt holding the arm either bends or breaks. The best thing to do is to either buy s calmini idler arm brace or make your own. Look at the pics on www.purenissan.com You can fab one yourself. the important thing is that you get it in double shear

i installed one shortly after i installed my 3" suspension lift(which is now for sale.....)it made a HUGE difference in the way it went down the road.almost totaly eliminated the "wander" on the free way and gave it a solid feel all around.

in the idler it's the bolt and then the little plastic bushing that wear out. You can get just the bushings here:

but it's not just the idler that wears out. The centerlink isa piece of crap on these trucks after a suspension lift. There are many option out there....Spencer Low has a few different options, Total chaos has a really beefy system, Calmini has one that everyone has nothing but problems with, and then there is L&P.....which is a couple of guys that does a similar product as Spencer low for much cheaper.
Out of all of them, L&P is by far the best for the money.

I have what is know as tthe TK1 mod on my centerlink. it's basically what SLR and L&P do, cept I didn't cut the ends off and weld on DOM to take the bearings...instead it has 2 bearings on the idler side and 1 bearing plus a spacer on the other....works okay.
