I am looking for pictures of scout 80/800s with the rear axle moved back.

Thanks!

Well, I guess I should explain a bit... This is not my rig, I am just posting for a friend. The friend's recently completed toyota was stolen :mad3:. So in hopes of being able to wheel this summer he acquired a 1965 scout 800 in decent shape. Same friend also had a mall-crawler FS chevy with 15" lift, dana 60/14 bolt, 44" tires, you know the look... So the friend cut up the Chevy & is using its components (less springs ;)) to build the scout 'affordably' [since he already has the stuff].

So anyway, he is going to be clearing the 44" tires with very little lift (~6"), and as such will be moving the rear axle back for clearance reasons. What we were discussing is whether to run leaves or coils out back. The only problem with leaves, is I have a hard time picturing how the frame-extensions for the leaf would look, and as such am looking for pictures, specifically of the rear springs & rear overhang.

Also, I was kind of fishing to determine if the WB stretch was a very common thing, such as different leaves with certain pin-offsets used, etc. [guess I've been around the Jeep forums too much :barf: ]

Thanks for the pics, and if you can find any that specifically view the rear springs, that would be great.

Cool. I like the rear tube work. I don't suppose you have a side view handy, by any chance? Thanks!

If you dont want to run coils or cant afford the links and what not, maybe you could find some offset center pin springs and turn them so the short sid is at the rear. Give you some base cheap. Probably have to run some shims or re-weld the perches cuz its gonna do crazy pinion angle things. My scout ended up being 7" longer with 52's front and rear. But I ended up with buck teeth. You read my build already. Give me a PM if you need anything.
