Is .023 flux core wire available in 2 lb spools anywhere? I'm looking for that size for my Readywelder.
Thanks,
Dustin

My local Nexair said they don't carry any FLUXCORE in .023 or .024 size. He said they had never seen any Lincoln, Esab, or HTP fluxcore wire that particular size.
Can your Readywelder accept .030 fluxcore?

I'm running .030 and .035 now but I'd like .023 for thinwall and sheetmetal work as well.

I've never been able to find fluxcore smaller than .030". With .030" you really have to dial the wire speed down and run the voltage at the lowest setting and it's still a challenge if your working on stuff thinner than 18ga.

I've used plenty of solid .023/.024 wire to patch up body work. I especially like Linde "Easygrind." As its name implies, it grinds easy without a lot of pressure or heat buildup. It requires gas, but it is a bodyworker's dream.
Set up a spool of Easygrind and get your flattened copper pipe tool, and you're good to go for patching all the rust holes in a 4x4's body.
