just got a 1966 Jeep J3000 PU with a 327 and a 3 speed , dana 44's ... what do you suggest

Get rid of the 44s and slap in some 60s?...

Depends (as always) on what ya wanna do with it. If you want a better-driving stocker I'd find a 1974-1979 FSJ and swap in the front axle, 360 motor and drivetrain. The front axles of those years will give you disc brakes and the diff on the passenger side like you have now. The 327 can be a real pain to find parts for. Then find a D60 rear from a J20. That's my opinion.
If ya wanna off-road it, cut off the rear spring posts and mount the springs under the frame then follow this: 360/NP435/NP203/NP205/D60/14B/42"IROKs...
Again, that's my opinion.
Otherwise, sell it to me!
