I am currently replacing the stock valve covers on my DD with some shiny chrome ones. What kind of HP gain can I expect? I know it won't be as much as a 'Type R" sticker or yellow spray paint, but I don't want to get too radical. After all, it is my DD.

Thanks

Replacing the valve covers huh? Sure you can handle that? its a big job. If you do it right you could get as much as 30-60% more power depending on engine size, year, mileage etc... :nuke:

Sure if you want to lube your exhaust manifolds.:flipoff2: :D

Chrome enhances the aerodynamics.

ACME blinker fluid and an O-Pipe exhaust. 100% back pressure increases torque:flipoff2:

Remember to change your Muffler Bearings too, make sure you put some spring air in your tires. get rid of that old winter air. :flipoff2: :smokin: :smokin:

Remember...those pretty chrome pieces won't distribute the heat as well as your old steel ones, a few guys i know who have replaced theirs with pretty chrome ones have noticed a rise in their running temp.
