OK, I know that the carter carb is crap. I've searched but I'm trying to keep this smog legal and would like to upgrade to Howell or MPI. However this is a DD and I need it running. SO, 4.2L in an 88 YJ, Auto trans Calif Jeep. It was running OK, I think I got some bad gas, So I used some Sea Foam, It ran a bit better, then after a few days would not idle, So I changed the filter, a bit better then started running rich and with a miss, So I do new plugs, they looked bad, cap and rotor, they didn't look to bad. Still runs like crap and won't idle. I put an O2 sensor in a few months back. ? So I disconect the exhuast thinking I plugged the CAT but no change, still won't idle and sounds like its missing. Smells rich. I need this running this weekend and I'm still saving for Howell or MPI. Any ideas?:(
