There were some recent post's about EB 44 front axle length's. I found a chevy 44 short inner and had to trim a 1/2 inch off for it to work. Those of you running around with full size spares may want to check the length before you need them. I also did a custom crossover steering today with heim ends. So far works great, can't wait to really use it and find out. Brett

Interesting....did you happen to get measurements of your old EB shaft, and the cheby shaft?

Also are you running open diff, lockright, detroit?

I did measure them both. From the center of the u joint to the end of the axle was 18.3 roughly on the bronco axle and 18.8 for the chevy. I run a True Trac and it may be posssible the axle won't go in as far as it would on other diff.'s .. Brett

Sounds like the EB axles are pretty consistant at 18.3, but the cheby axles are all a bit different. I think I measured my cheby axle at 18 9/16, and I'm trading a long axle for another cheby short axle the guy says is 18.5.

Thanks for the info!
