My mom's boyfriend has a JX sidekick that is always having problems. I am trying to convince him to sell it to me for a few hundred bucks so i can make a trail rig out of it. I was thinking of putting a Vortec V-6, SAS, 6" lift, fullsize axles and some 5.38s or so. I was thinking that fullsize axles will stick out so far of JX that i can just cut(or take off) the fenders and put some huge tires on it. So really what i'm asking is, has anybody put fullsize axles on either a Sammi or Sidekick and can i see pictures. Thanks.
And yes, i did search.

Sky's sidekick uses yota axles, engine, trans, and transfercase.
I havn't personaly seen one with fullsize axles under it on this board.

one reason i really want to do this is because there are not ANY around here. Everybody has a jeep or a lifted Chevy truck with 52" tractor tires. I want something far from norm. I may just take my 60" wide axles from my Cherokee and put them under the kicker.

Well, I am putting Dana 60's under mine, but I am having them both cut down to 63". The Sidekicks actually are not that small. In fact, it is only 2 inches per side slimmer than my Scout II. Scout was 68 and my 'Kick is 64. I don't have any pics yet, But I have my 4.3, TH 350, toy cases, and the GM Hydro boost in and just waiting for my axles. Could be a little while as my axles are 6 hours from me and I just sold my tow rig.
