My buddy has projection on his 5.9 MOPAR. it idles really high after the motor warms up. I dont know crap about projection shit so I figured I would ask you guys. :) What can he do?

Did you try turning the idle speed screw down? Most obvious cause. After that, the idle mixture is probably too rich.

sounds like it needs more tuning, it takes a while going back and forth between the tps, the box and the idle screw

ok so whats the best way to tune the fawker? we need to get this bitch dialed in. I used to tune my holley/350's using just a vacuum guage. I could tell timing, and carburation, valve leaks etc, just using that.
would that be a good weapon for this?

How about the instruction book that comes with the kit, it's very helpful. Infact without it, you will not know what to set the Voltage and resistance at for the TPS. Also, the fuel regulator is a very key part of the tuning, if its set to high it will run richer than 10 muthafuckas.

If you don not have the pro-jection manual, call the Holley tech line. They are very helpful cats!

its the 2-d, set for small block on a 360 with a wiend 4 barrel intake stock every thing, holley black pump that came with the unit, and no closed loop. I got it to idle now it just needs more fine tuning. kinda a bitch to tune, it belch's BLUE smoke out of a new motor when i rev it... I'm not sure what to think. i think i've got more work than i care to think about$$$

blue smoke? it might be running to rich and causing the fuel to wash the oil off the cylinder walls cause oil to be able to slip past the rings. just a thought.

Yep, or it's still not broken in yet. Find the wheel yet?

Yes the vacumer guage is the best way to Tune the Holly Pro jection systems. Start with the fuel pressure. Get an inline guage so you know where the setting is. The check the TPS to be sure it between .62-.65, then tune it like the book says using the vacume guage for the "maximum value" part talked about in the instructions.

The inline guage is the biggest help. My old analog system took 12-13 pounds of pressure, my digital version takes 15-16 psi, and the newest versuion with the updated injectors takes 21-23 psi.

Call me if ya need any more help. I have installed over 10 of these systems for customers.

Thanks, yeah the previous owner said less than 1500 miles on almost all the drive train! the only questionable part is my leaky 205. I want to rebuild it but don't have the huevos to dive in. I'm not sure if its the updated one or not i think it's the one w/80 pph injectors. Also my fuel pump stays on once i turn on the ignition it just keeps humming away and the book says it should turn off after it primes itself for start. not sure. No steering wheel or adapter yet. So the jeep sits. pitiful.***what is the analog pro-jection?? how can i tell if thats mine or not??***

If your box is "square" more than it is long 8--10" and "rectangle you got the digital. Also the digital has two input plug in areas on the back where the main harness goes in and the O2 sensor plugs into. The older analog only has one.

Oh ok then i have the digital without the closed loop o2 sensor deal. I wonder how much of a difference it makes? Maybe i should just buy it. The blue smoke is a concern but I'm not sure yet so i'll give it a few hundred more miles. Thanks
