Loud Little jeep

Hey guys. I bought a used 2.5 L motor for My jeep and the lifters are getting pretty loud at adle. Can I adjust them? Will this hurt the motor if i leave it? It is only at idle and the oild presure only drops down to 3 on the Yj Gadge. I was told by one jeep person that it was sticky lifters and to run 2 L of atf and run it for half a hour then change the oil. Any ideas on whats wrong or do i jsut have to put up with the noise?

Sounds more like worn main bearings since you say the oil pressure drops to 3psi.. you could probably put a new set of bearings in for less than $100.00 and while you had it opened up I would go ahead and put a set of rod bearings..
