Has any one heard of found anything to lift the new chevy colorado's besides the fabtech 3 inch spindle system and the 3 inch body lift. I recently purchased a 2004 colorado and want to put it on 35's or 36's.....Maybe a straight axle conversion but i want to keep the same ride quality:confused:

I'd imagine the ride quality would be junk anyway after the lift kit is under it, probably still have to crank the torsion bars as well to achieve some of the lift the kit claims... Aren't the colorado's 1/4T trucks? I don't think your axles will like 35's too much :D

i know my ranger didnt like 35's.
if done right, a SAS can ride damn good. its just a matter of the right springs and the setup.
P.S. whats the point of having a "good ride" when you are going to put a mud tire on it? they didnt put swampers on cadillacs' for a reason...

Sky Jacker makes a Colorado 4" kit. That plus a 3" body will get you close. If you do an SAS for it to not cost a bundle, you'd need to build your own hangers, try to find used wrangler or samuria springs, and hopely find a good price of a Dana 44. You could run a weaker axel, but if you're gonna wheel it I wouldn't. If you just want to run 35's you could get your enought lift with your hangers and shackles and run used stock springs over the axel.
