Hello,
Just bought an 80 cj5 that is good candidate for a wheeler. The plans right now are to eventually swap in 1 tons w/ hummer wheels blah blah blah.

My question is, has anyone ever run into a model 20 with an "X" axle code?

Im not really worried about it cuz i'll wheel it for right now till i start the full width swap. just thought it was strange to see an X. instead of the usual AA, B, BB. It's stamped X with a small 2 next to it at an angle.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Brendan

Thats the new X2 prototype model 20. only......1 made.

naw, seriously, i dont think that means anything. Maybe some shop rebuilt it at one time and put their own stamp on it, who knows. To get to the nitty-gritty, pull the cover and see whats inside. Dont expect anything to exciteing:shaking: :)

X is 3.07 Open NT. Not on most of the lists but it is in service manual.
