I have an 82' CJ 5 and need to replace the master cylinder, I am also upgrading to larger tires (35") and have heard that there are some other master cylinders that I can use to give me better stopping power. Any suggestions would be appreciated

yes. go get a GMC Safari cylinder or a Chevy CK cylinder and put them on. stopping power increases significantly.
