I'm parting out my Scout and I've never got to use this tranny.
I had it built using B&M's tf727 rebuild kit which has all the heavy duty clutches and bands and also includes a shift kit. When I had it built, I had the builder put a Jeep 727 tailhousing and shaft from a wagoneer in it so that I could put a Jeep Dana 300 behind it. It has never had any fluid in it or been bolted up.
I also had a custom 12" 1000rpm stall torque converter made to go with it. It will allow you to have compression braking with the trans built the way it is. This way, you can let the motor slow you down going down hill.
