ok after a few offroad accident, my tuck is gone. first i flipped it, then i based it against a few trees, and then i completly messed up the front end. it is not driveable and its gonna be thousands to fix (the only body part that is in good shape is the passenger door). my first thouhgt was to strip it down to the frame and build a buggy but then i came to rality and i dont have that much money. so then i herd about formula toy. ive been to there website but im still unclear on a few things. pretty much what needs to be done to a 95 toyota pickup 4x4 to get it in this competion? it says i have to buy the tube chasis from a vender but can i just copy what other people have done and build it my self? the truck is a standard cab short bed, 22re if that makes a difference

That page has a bunch of info that will help you and I believe A2B- the leader in the formula toy series :grinpimp: and one of the board of directors for this class would love to talk with you. Send him a pm by clicking his name in the link above and then find the litlle link to his email or pm.

You can call me if you'de like at 818-535-0131. I think your questions on here can all be answered by a little more reading on pirate but if you'de rather talk to someone call me and if i can't help you I'll find you someone who can.

This is a very fun class and you can do this for cheap if you really try. But things like homemade copies of the hendrix formula toy chassis are not allowed and for good reason. Hendrix isn't charging alot for these thing I doubt you could save much by buildinig your own and you couldn't compete if you did.
