has any one seen a 92 extended cab chevy on 2.5t rockwells? If so how did they have there suspension set up. I just got my rear and am looking for a front, and am trying to get some suspension ideas. Not sure if i want to run qurter elip or just do a complete four link with coils. Any suggestions would be apriciated.

I have never seen a 1/4 eliptic on Rockwells but I think that would be cool to see. I have only seen a few guys running Rockwells and they all used leaves

cool truck but needs to be about 2 ft shorter. less lift the better., keeps the cg down.

That is true, but it is sitting on 44's and if it were 2ft shorter, there would be no fenders to speak of. Hell, its looks to be sitting about right and apears to be working just fine. I'd run it. It may not be the "ultimate" rock crawler, but I dont think that is why it was built.

Here is another pic I found.

Well Josh (HOT_DAMN) is going with the new 47" LTB's and will be doing a full truggy. He plans on cutting the frame off just behind the cab, shortening it about 3 feet and moving the axle in a little. Probably some were around the 110"- 112" wheel base and the front will be fully tubed with the stock fenders and skins, both front and rear will be will be doved and the cab will be X-oed. We still plan on using the stock cab and skinning it with the original body panels but it will be as simplistic as possible.

it's going to be pimp!:grinpimp:

The initial idea was to take the axle and run it in front of the steering box then connect the drag link to the high steer arm on the back side of the axle, and run hydro assist. (must of been on crack) because as you could see this would mean steering right would turn left and left would steer right. :rasta:

So with out running full hydro (witch I thing he should) how can we get the axle pushed out and still run assist?

I have tought about this also, and I think you could run a box from an 80's and 90's f-150 that used the pitman arm facing forward. Wouldn't this box be geared to turn the correct way?

I wish it were mine. This truck was at the Lima Ohio 4 wheel parts jamboree last year. I know just as much about it as you do.
