Hey guys,
Figured id ask what you guys thought about putting air shocks on the front end of my s10 blazer rock krawler. All the front end body is gone all thats there is the frame, 4.3, chopped hood, and tubing. I want to run the 18" travel shocks and a friend of mine recomended the 2.5" dia air shocks. You guys think those will work out fine or should I go with the 2" dia air shocks?
Thanks

just checked sway-a-way's web site, and they do not make 2.5 air shocks.
but we have the 2.5 fox air shocks in stock
they will work greta on the front of you rig as long as you are not planning on doing any high speed stuff.
i would go with the 2.5's over the 2.0's just because of the extra weight

yea i talked to a couple of people and they all said for me to go fer the 2.5" shocks so thats what I'll prob end up getting, just wish they weren't like $125 more a shock over the 2"er's, lol.

I am, I'm just trying to decide between the air shocks or coilovers.

I've had a couple people express that they don't think the 2.5 air shocks will be able to handle the weight? I don't want to have to pump so much air in them that they ride like an IFS, lol. If its neccesary I will step up to coilovers to get the flex I want, but obviously I would prefer to go with the 2.5" airshocks because of price, but I won't sacrifice flex due to price so tell me if you don't think they will work right.
If i'm correct I believe they will support 2000 lbs per corner. Has anyone weigh'd the front end of thier S10 blazer with a 4.3 in it? I'm sure someone out there has, If you could chime in that'd be great.
Thanks

I weighed mine when it was stock, but not since its been sas'd. it was 3900lbs totally empty 2100 front and 1800 rear for a 90 2 door 4.3. 2000 a corner should be plenty I would imagine, I doubt your ever going to carry an extra 2000 lbs on your front bumper.

2" sway away air shocks hold the rear of my fullsize chev just fine, but then, i also put her on a 1000 lb. died back there too.
