Had one on my Baja......Worked great and actually for days also.... Although that was a vechile that weighed at least 1/2 of what any good wheeling machine does here.........Although I have taken Bajas many places that only 4x4 where able to go, but that is another story.

Line Locks worked for me!!!! Personal choice...Give it a shot if you dont like it dont use it......

If you locate it kinda in a out of site place, it can work as a nice anti theft Device LOL......

you can get them from summit for like $40

As far as using it as an E-Brake...i'd say it's better than nothing, but not the best solution. I think the ideal solution would be one of Jess's driveline disc brakes.

If you want it to be legal, check the laws. Most inspection codes state that linelocks are not considered a working ebrake. Has something to do with you stopping should you lose fluid pressure or some other trivial thing like that :flipoff2:

A line-lock is only good for a parking brake.
If you lose hydraulic pressure in the regular brake system, a line-lock will do nothing. An E-brake has to be mechanical.

I beleive the locks Summit sells are electronically activated & only meant for very short term use for drag racers. I guess the thing is that there is a constant electrical draw while it is on. I have heard they will burn out if left on too long.
