Anyone have any experience or opinions about either of these two header companies. I think a long time ago they were all the same guy. Now they are separate companies. Even the part numbers are very, very similar.

Anyone have good or bad about either?

I used to have a set of Thorley Tri-Y Headers, the Tri-Y design gave a little bit more torque, I had zero problems with them

I'm running a set of Thorley tri-y's on my 86 350 Burb and have some pros and con's to offer. First, I got the ceramic coating option and I have to say that was probably the smartest move I made. That alone dropped my operating temp by a good 10 degrees which has been really helpful when towing. The headers installed and fit as advertised so no real issues.

OTH, there are no dimples on the inside tubes at the flange which makes putting a wrench on them pretty much a royal PITA if you need to snug the header bolts up. I used Ultra Copper on the gaskets and really haven't had much of an issue with the bolts loosening but still.......I ended up finding a set of header bolts that accept a hex driver in the bolt head and that seems to have held even though you really can't get a good torque value on it like you can with a wrench. Overall, I'm pretty happy with them. They have been on my rig for about a year and a half.
