Hi guys I'm looking at the Advance Adapters kit to mate an NV4500 to a Chevy LSx engine (probably an LS2, but not sure yet).
This flywheel in the kit only works with the 'recessed crank (by 0.400" apparently).
Can anyone tell me whether the LSx engines have these cranks, or exactly what it means??? I'm really stuck on this! Do they all have the same crank type?
I need to tell the guys at highimpact asap so they can get on with my order.
Cheers, Al.

call advanced adapters, and tell them which motor you are going to use, and they for sure can enlighten this situation, althuogh for some reason this makes me think that is for the 6.0 litre version. I think when i was looking into setting up a sm465 into a lsx they said about the 6.0 being recessed, but its been some time since i checked, so give them a call... they are pretty knowledgable.

the only difference I know of in LSx cranks is the 1999 and 2000 6.0L trucks with the 4L80e trans had a 0.400 longer crank flange. every other LSx crank is the same except for stroke, etc.

Sorry to bring this back to the top, I just wanted to say thanks for the great info.
Being in Europe, I don't want to risk ordering the wrong stuff...
Cheers, Al.

The early truck 6.0L had the longer crank till 02 I think. The 4.8 have the longer crank as well. It's the same crank spacing as the gen. early motors.
All the 5.3's and LSx motors have the recess crank. Call advanced adapters and tell them the exact motor you will be using!
