The past year we have done a couple contests here and I am thinking lets do another. To refresh your memory we did a "tech contest" and a "project contest" we narrowed down the best ones and had you guys vote on them for a winner. We have such great vendors here on PBB that they have supported these and gave away nice stuff. I have talked to a few vendors and I can get something nice to giveaway. Now we just need an idea for a contest. So bust out your ideas:D and I will get one rolling.

Depends on the prize too me, if its something like hydro assist or high steer just make the contest where the guy with a 4 wheel steer buggy get's it. Think of the little people, when the prize is decided give it to the most worthy.

ex. High steer as the prize = pictures of broken steering arms.

just my idea:grinpimp:

fastest build is so relative though. If you have a ton of $$$ and throw it in a shop that is focused on your rig, or if you have lots of your own time, it can happen fast. I did my SOA and motor conversion in about 3 months, while working 60 hour weeks. It almost killed me. :D

Well i can tell you how long it took me and a friend to do a soa on a rig that had not run in 20 years. About 6 days & the 7th day took it to Rubithon 2005. Day 1 - installed lockers at home > day 2 - cut and turn at Bill's.

i helped a friend do a 350 tbi conversion on his fj60. 2.5 days from pulling it into his garage (at his parents house, not at a shop) to driving it back out under it's own power. :smokin:

1st time
T case, rear pinion (coarse spline), winch

20ft i got him on that one after 2.5 years the cruiser was good to go 37" mtrs locked front and rear. I got escited in reverse forgot my hubs were locked and with my twin stick forgot 4 wheel low. Broke 2 count em 2 before my front tire reached where my rears were. Now have chromos in there but no long's. If this conntest is for longs i'll roll my cruiser for em.... for the roloover prize......most rollovers never said where how many you want

I want to fix my weak links if the contest isn't for that i'm not one of those guys looking to win something i dont need thats why i had my previous idea

I think the tech contest and the build up contest were so good because it helps the cruiser section and makes it worth while to come into again. Too bad we are not all local to each other because we could see who could build the cheepest most capable cruiser. Maybe we still could but it would just be harder to prove :D
