I will be putting a shackle flip on the rear of my truck. For what I am doing, I need the rear pinion to be at 0*.

A standard flip will leave my rear springs at a 1*-2* angle rear end up.

Would there be any harm in spacing my brackets down a little bit to level the springs? I would only have to space them down 1.5" to level them.

I will be adding a special crossmember to counter any lateral forces. BTW I am not using ORD brackets. I am using these:

The main piece is 6x6-5/16" angle welded to 5x3-1/4" angle, all reinforced with 1/4" gussets.

why not just use a 2* shim?

That would be the simple way.

I am already using ten degree shims. I am just concerned about the rear swaying on me.

are you concerned enough to cut the perches off and weld them on with the correct orentation?

No need. I just remembered that I can have my tapered 10 degree zero rates retapered for a very small fee. I should have thought of that first.:shaking:
