If you follow this handy dandy clickable link (REAR BUMPER MOUNT KIT (http://www.atozfabrication.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6&products_id=32&zenid=fc725348908ba7bbe9775ca1355fc792)) the secret information will be given to you.;) All you have to do for a shipping quote is add what you want to your cart and click on the Estimate Shipping button for your area.

The rear bumper mount kit is designed to have the 3/4" solid units welded to the backside of a rectangle tube bumper and then you can use studs or bolts going through the crossmember. The other small tabs are 1/4" plate with the slotted hole to be used to tie the bumper into the lower frame holes on Jeeps. I will try to post a better pic later of when they are welded on one of our bumpers.

Thanks.

Bump For Ya, Stuff Looks Nice, I Like The One Piece Front

Yeah, I was pretty happy with them when we got the first batch. My goal was just to make the processes as easy as possible for my guys and to have a product that looks clean when finished.

Thanks for the orders everyone--we appreciate it.:cool2:

For the tire carrier, do you weld a washer inside of the sleeve/hub do keep pressure on the lower bearing...or do you do something different? Great pricing by the way...and a lot easier than using a D44 hub/spindle/locking hub...

Great question, and thanks. The hinge unit is a piece of DOM tub with the bearing bores CNC machined to tightly fit the bearing races, providing the support you are mentioning.

Please let me know if we can help with anything.:cool2:

What are the dimensions on the clevis mounts?

zachv
05-29-2006, 07:51 AM
The clevis mounts are 1" wide and 2" tall with CNC machined rounded ends and a 15/16" hole to fit standard 3/4" shackles with a 7/8" pin. They are 4.5" long to fit through a 2" thick bumper, but we also have some that are 5.5" long for 3" bumpers---e-mail/call for pricing on them.

Thanks.

What's the thickness of the plate for the front bumper bracket? 1/4", 3/16"?

What's the thickness of the plate for the front bumper bracket? 1/4", 3/16"?

The front bumper brackets are CNC formed from 3/16" plate. With all of the weld area available and spots to tie-in the clevis mounts I feel that 1/4" would just be useless overkill, unless your Jeep has Rockwells and 44" tires, at which point you would want another design altogether.

Thanks.

I just called to order a pair of clevis mounts. The guy on the phone was really friendly so I asked him a few questions about Rausch Creek and Paragon. He said he could have them to me by this weekend. Based on the ordering process I'd buy from them again.

Zach, any way to loer the shipping costs? Interested on stuff, but the shipping is killing the deal. I.e. $25 for two clevis mounts, but shipping is $32 :( Let me know. I think you can get more business and save us som bucks using for example a USPS flat rate box.

Quick Q, the clevis prices are individual or per pair? Nice work!

Gui, thanks for mentioning that. I have to get my webmaster to change that in the site. The shiping on the site is high for the fab parts for some reason. I have been working on $8.50 as a flat rate for anything in the Fab parts area, except the front bumper mount. That I need to quote on an individual basis. What I recommend until we get the situation fixed is to call me in the shop of shoot me an e-mail for ordering instructions.

BTW, the clevis mounts are $12.95 for a pair. Also, we are looking for additional dealers so if there are shops out there that just need fab parts we can help them out. Call me for details and special pricing.

We do on the complete parts that we manufacture, but we cannot on the Fab Parts as we are too close to our cost. If you are an AtoZ Fabrication dealer we do offer volume discounts.

Nice way to take two months to respond with a witty remark... Please excuse me for thinking you had a sense of humor. It will be my pleasure not to work with you Jason M. :flipoff2:

BTW, we love for customers to call and order so that is a great option, but some people do not have the time, or shop late at night, and prefer to use the site for pricing and shipping quotes.

Thanks to everyone that has ordered. I did not think the Fab Parts were going to be so popular, but we have had great response for them and love helping out the DIY crowd.

Could you update your web page to give details like size? I was looking at the some the products like clevis mounts, but from the photo I can't tell for sure if they are 2" wide and 4" long with a 1 inch hole. ( best guess)

The Tire Carrier Hinge Kit. I would really like a bit more of a write up, like you start with a 1" dia. hot rolled rod and lathe it down to fit some Chevy astro van front wheel bearings. Then use a piece of DOM tube to fit the races in ( might even need milling there too ( not sure) I don't see races in the photo so are races even used? I will call too.

Could you update your web page to give details like size?

You are 100% correct, and thanks for the reminder. I suck at websites so I keep on having to ask the guy who made my site to do updates and I have been forgetting to get him the correct info. Let me try to answer your questions.

The clevis mounts are made from solid 1x2" HR steel. They are cut to 4.5" overall length to fit a 2" wide bumper (http://www.atozfabrication.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3&zenid=07f57662065c475a46456379d01e7dce), but we also have some that are 5.5" long for 3" bumpers, and the round end is milled with a 1" radius. The hole is 1". These are designed for 3 3/4 Ton clevises with a 7/8" pin.

The tire carrier hinge assemblies use this spindle:
http://www.jeepforum.com/gallery/files//1/3/0/3/7/SPINDLEJPEG.JPG

They include both bearings, with races, the nut, the lower grease seal, and the upper dust cap. The hinge tubes themselves are machined from 2.25"OD DOM tube and the inner bores are machined to accept the bearing races.

I hope that helps, let me know if I missed anything..
Thanks again.
Zach.

We can flat-rate ship two pair for $13 for a total of $38.90. That order would need to be called in for the reduced shipping. If ordered through the site it would be $7.50 per set for shipping.

Notice: the clevis mounts and tire carrier hinge kits will be going up in price soon as my machine shop is raising my costs. We are looking at $17.50 for a pair of clevis mounts and $42.50 for the tire carrier hinge kits. The change will take effect as soon as I can get my webmaster to find some time to make changes so if you need them it would be smart to order before the change takes effect.

Thanks.

All pics can be found on our Fab Parts page. (http://www.atozfabrication.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=6&zenid=707fb2b9eca81121996864434d94c667) Shipping can often be combined on mutliple orders of the smaller items if you cal to order-usually 2-3 items can go for $13, 4-6 items in two boxes for $26, etc.

We do not stock clevises, but I have a few currently that run $9 each. They are 3 3/4 Ton units with a 7/8" screw pin.

Thanks.

1 hinge--$39.95 currently
1 set of clevis tabs--$12.95 currently
1 wheel plate--$17.99

Shipped to 90720--$22.50 if ordered on our site

And do you offer any other latch for a tire carrier? Not a big fan of that T handle idea.

We do not offer any different latch systems, but you can always buy DeStaCo latches from MSC, et al.

BTW, we can do a little better on the shipping if ordered over the phone and I am awaiting my web dude to make some changes on the Fab Parts pricing so the listed prices are only good until he makes the changes.

Thanks.
