putting a 700r4 into my truck, but i want to use my np205 transfercase need to know where to get the output shaft and adapter. and for the adapter would a th350 transmission adapter to np205 transfercase work on the 700r4 wasn't sure. if so were do i get the output shaft. and the transfercase is off my sm465 transmission which makes it a 10 spline, thanks for any help.

it wont work. you need a 27 spline 205. the 10 spline is a make input, while the 27 is a female. and you need one of two things, a th350 to 205 adapter and a short shaft (from avanced adapters among other places) or a th350 to 205 adapter and a spacer about (cant remember exactly) 1.5".

I have an adapter (4 bolt hole for TH350 but think its right for 700R4), 27 spline sleeve, and input shaft for a 205 for sale if you need them. This works with any figure 8 style 205. PM me if your interested.

Both the 10 and 27 spline input shafts are male, (for GM apps) only the 32 spline is female.

you need a 27 spline version as stated earlier this is the th350 version. i would not waste time on a new output shaft. you can buy a kit from a company in kansas or oklahoma ( i forgot) that is an aluminum spacer that will allow you to bolt it on your tranny. that is what i did, very simple and easy. took about 30 minutes.
