Nothing special, but the rock piles were kinda fun. :D

So, what exactly is the status of Tahuya if ya know? I've heard it was gettin closed, then they were gonna build some new trails? Did the DNR guy have any interesting info to pass on? Not much more there than logging roads and a few rock piles last time I visited the place....any improvements?

i used to live in port orchard and we went to tahuya alot before they closed all of the mud pits. there were so many locals dumping garbage out there, i am surprised they hadn't closed it down already.
to bad the local club up there, the quadrapaws, didn't take more of an interest in the trails. they claimed to have owned the trails but most of the members i met were a bunch of whiners and didn't seem to do much out there, although the president, joe, was pretty cool. most of the trails were weak. i saw a vw rabbit hit every trail we went on without getting the least bit hung up.
we used to go to evans creek, that was some cool wheelin.

They had a trail building party out there two weeks ago, did some clean-up and built a new trail. It's not finished yet, but it was definately a good start. The DNR guys didn't mention anything about it closing. It was mostly easy trails, with a couple of rock piles to play on. There were some good mud pits to play in (we had a YJ on 31's that hydrolocked in one of the its)
