Yes

That is exactly what I have, 94 YJ 4.0/999/D300 I used the Go 2 Guy engineering clocking ring for better clearance.

Yes it needs to be the Jeep 300. The rare scout 300 has the M20 and M18 Texas bolt pattern. The Jepp 300 was available from 1980 to 1986. The 1980 model has a shorter output shaft that is supposedly stronger but you cant get 4:1 gears for this case.

999 is the 3 speed auto tranny from Chrysler/Jeep. The lockup converter versions are referred to as the 32RH. It is basically a smaller version of the 727 auto.

The lockup converter versions are referred to as the 32RH

These were the autos available in 4-bangers correct:question:

My auto has a lockout converter and 23 spline output just like the auto from the 4.0.

Is there any other difference between the 32RH and the 999 besides the lockout converter, I've been told no but in case you know different please share.

You the man slut:beer:

The 4.0 had the 999 also called the 32RH. The 999 came in the early CJ's and AMC cars. Was non lock up converter and later on they put in the lock up converter.

The 2.5 had the 30RH. Still has 23 spline out put which will fit D300.

Slut, you're the man for answering my questions today. 30RH also called the 904. Having a smaller number of forward clutches than the 999 but similar in all other aspects I believe

well, i plan on going d300, GM 60/14 bolt. i think its pointless to flip the 300 unless you already have money in a set of driver drop axles- which in my case, i am still sportin the 30/35 combo. so i have the 999 and the 300 will bolt up(with a clocking ring of course). fabulous... thanks guys!

Ok so you need a clocking ring to bolt up the D300 to the AX15. How about the speedo, is that compatiable. Also do you have to modify the shifters or do they adapt fine.

Yes the speedo assembly from the 231 will swap directly into a D300

Do I have to take anything OFF the NP231 to swap onto the 300 or will I just be able to screw it into the D300?

Take the one bolt out that holds the speedo assembly in and swap it. 30 second process.

The 1980 model has a shorter output shaft that is supposedly stronger but you cant get 4:1 gears for this case.

Sure you can:rolleyes: There is NO difference between the two cases;) The only thing that is different is the tail shaft and tail shaft housing;) Oh ya and like one hole in the case for the rear housing. You can even get a 32 spline output shaft for the '80 dana 300s now:D

Can this one bolt be bought at the hardware store because I want to the sell the NP231 complete.

The bolt is basically part of the speed sensor assembly that you're keeping anyway. You'll see when you take it apart.
