Ok,got a free 2WD XJ.It is an '89.Runs great but needs brakes and frontend work.Does the wobble thing bad at 35MPH.Anyway thinking of coverting it to 4WD.Can I do this easily with stock parts?It has the 4.0 5speed combo.I also have an 84 that needs a tranny.Can I use the parts off the 84?The 84 has the 2.8V6 with the ax-5 tranny.Ny input?Thanks

the 2xd and 4wd unibodies are the same, i am pretty dam sure you can through a front axle in there with a corresponding 4wd tranny and t case. i would not use the 84 front axle as it is a disconnect housing.
