Just wondering if anyone on here has swaped a solid axle into a a 2wd truck? I got a 2wd 97' 1-ton crew-cab that i want to lift. The trucks getting a 12-valve Cummins, NV4500HD, and a NP205. So all i'm wonding about is the axle swap. I'm thinking about using the ORD kit, I did a solid axle swap on a 96' 4wd with home made mounts...... not very fun. Anyone used this kit? What springs did you use? I want to run 36" tires. Thanks for your input.

I am in the process of doing this to my 95 2wd. It is very staightforward. ORD makes a kit for the 2wds but it is stupid expensive. IMO build your own mounts again. I am using 54" springs from the rear of a 96 Tahoe. If you position things right, you may even be able to use 58" springs from a 93-98 suburban.
