About a month ago I broke a back bead flange on one of my Alum TR beadlocks. Thinking, that this may become a recurring problem I talked with Larry at Trail Ready and not only did he give me a free new wheel he hooked me up with 4 1/8" inch bead rings to keep this from happening again. I really wanted to keep these wheels, they go good with my Cruiser and I have used TR products on my other Cruisers with good success. Now I just gotta weld on 3 more rings:D

TR welded this one for me on my new wheel.

this is not the first time I have seen this problem with the TR beadlocks. In my opinion, I would not get this beadlock ever.
Good thing they fixed it for you though. Ihave heard horror stories abuot them not fising these problems in the past.

I have a different take on TR beadlocks, which I have been running for 3 years. I experienced one minor problem and upon calling Larry he just shipped me out a new wheel and paid for the shipping back - I don't think customer service can get any better than that.

did you see my wifes wheel that she bent? (see "death of an avatar" ) could trailready weld beadlocks to your own wheels? susans weld wheels took a hit, bent the bead back onto itself and still didnt break.... some beadlocks on these would be killer..

Send a set to TR. Forged wheels are stronger, but more expensive. They will beadlock customer wheels if asked. They did for me. For the record I have had 2 sets of TR's without issues.

I don't see them on their web site?
Wonder if they will proactively send the bead rings out to folks with their wheels? I would far prefer to prevent an issue rather than have even a good customer service issue on a broken wheel?

Does TR make their own wheels or do they just put their beadlocks on other mfg's wheels?

TR adds beadlocks to other manufacturers wheels for the most part. The AL ones on my TJ have a rim built by ultra the same as every failed TR rim I have seen. I sent MT rims to be beadlocked for my CJ.

Larry was very helpful, and got me a new wheel fast and free. Now that I have the rings on the back I should be good to go. Not that big a deal.
