I have a big problem. Recently my rear diff went out on me. The bolts shot out thru my housing. Now, the only way I move is if i'm in neutral. Have pics. Any ideas?

Bolts shot through the housing...

You mean bolts went through your diff cover?

Why not pull the diff cover and look at the internals? That would tell you right away what went wrong.

Yeah, you need a new rear end. Most likely the center pin dropped out of place or the ring gear bolts backed off. Lots of Locktite is your friend. If shrapnel made it over to your wheel bearings it's probably not worth even salvaging the housing, just get a whole new rear end.:nuke:

hey i have a new rear end for ya,i live in oregon, and am willing to selli t for real cheap. even meat you half way somewere, if you in the surrounding states that is. but if your truck will not move unless it is in nutral then you probably need a new one. were are the pics and stuff?

Maybe think about getting a 9" Rear instead.....
