HP 60 is too close for comfort to my newly swapped motor and need to find a replacement pan. Contacted Jegs and Summit no luck, last resort will be to cut the pan and have it re-welded with a lower profile (not ideal). Any ideas or vendors to contact that may have one for this motor would be great.
TIA
Matt.

why is this not ideal, with the correct filler metal and joint fitment, the weld will be stronger than the surrounding metal, and you can make your clearence werever you want. have you tried looking around the junkyard at car/ different truck oil pans? im sure they swapped sumps locations on some of these.

I would rather consider this a last resort than a first option. I agree with what you are saying but I would like to exhaust any options for a "bolt in" replacement. If any exist..

Put a Holden pan on it if you have front clearance. They have a front sump...

Wouldnt rasing the motor an inch be an idea? Or is the fire wall to tight?

Engine is out of a 02-03 Tahoe, we alreay cut the frame rails off from the fire wall forward and built new rails and I am tubing the front end. we had to lower the engine 2 inches to clear the willy's hood and moved it back 1" for more room in front for the Rad, winch, grill, lights etc. I had already cut the a hole in the firewall for the old 350 I had with HEI ( which I will cover) but does anyone know a brand of oil pan that will work with a 5.3 L. I am not versed in the different brands or maybe even some companies that may have a good knowledge of these motors.
TIA

I haven't looked at them but an LS1 Corvette or Camaro may have a slightly different pan, should be a bolt on change. I agree with the above though, find a local shop that does aluminum welding and mod it the way you want.
Thankfully my front axle is well forward of the sump area of my 5.3 oil pan.

You are correct the LS1 pan does fit, just ordered an OEM one, EBAY was more expensive. Go figure, thanks for the help. the LS1 gives me the clearance I need.
