Quite a few people have paid more than this for a new 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck:

could be licensed as a RV in most places, has plenty of room in the cab and a 28' box on the back for living or working space..parking may be a bitch though. ISM can be turned up for more power too..

yeah and those NEW 1 ton trucks dont have 530,000 miles on them and you can tow a gooseneck with them , not to mention park it in the driveway and take it to the grocery store.

but hey other then that :grinpimp:

yeah but when you have a 28 foot bed, and the ability for a pintle setup, who needs a gooseneck?

You could take it to the grocery store, just piss people off parking in 14 spots :flipoff2:

That is a little much for that truck. I have seen full Volvo tractors with nice sleeping cabs and such for half that price, with about the same milage. Add youself a full blown trailer and you could haul 3 rigs :D

I have always liked the look of a cabover truck, especially the European ones that we dont get here. They are easy to drive too, compared to a large OTR tractor that is 30 feet long or more without a trailer or a bed. The Cummins motor maybe due for an in chassis rebuild and the box could be modded for living quarters, a shop, multiple rigs or a combination thereof. Licensing and taxes, etc would be pretty easy in most places if converted to RV status. You could tow a bumper pull trailer with an Air Ride hitch, up to 25000 pounds with the correct licensing. Granted this thing is not a one ton truck or an SUV, but with everything being in one place, the overall handling and space maybe better than a truck and trailer combination.

Trouble is that you would need at least a Class B CDL to drive it, and with a 13'6" clearance and weight of probably 35k dry weight, you would have a hell of a time getting it up some of the dirt roads I have seen trails shoot off of. Not that I haven't taken a bobtail up a dirt road (batton down EVERYTHING, voice of experience...), its just not something I care to repeat.

I didn't see anything on that add about a rear-axle air locker, something that is very nice in rough terrain or your average gravel drop lot.
