Trying to edjukate myself on Frontier/Xterra rear axles and options.
I understand there is a 03ish version of the Xterra that comes with 4.90s and an E-locker.
What are we looking at for widths on various Nissan axles, Pathfinders(years) ,Xterras, Fontiers.
Also
What is the factory locker(selectable) based on? Ive heard its a Eaton E locker, but Im not sure.
Brakes, less important but interesting anyway.
Most important info Im looking for is Xterra; width, locker type, brakes
Thanks

The 02-04 non-supercharged V6 got the 4.90 rear. Some of the 01-03 SE-trim Frontier models got it as well.
There has NEVER been a factory locking rear for the pre-05 models.
Width for the Xterra/Frontier rear is just over 59 inches. The earlier Pathfinder(pre-96)/Hardbody ones are an inch or so narrower.
Brakes are all drum except for optional discs on the SE-trim Pathfinders.

The '98-04 Frontier/Xterra H233B is 62.5" wide WMS-WMS. Factory wheel offset of ~1.25" on each side results in a 60" track width. Brent is correct that Hardbody/Pathfinder H233B is an inch narrower.

The '98-04 Frontier/Xterra H233B is 62.5" wide WMS-WMS. .
So, the Xterra is 62.5 or 59"? Ive heard more of the 62-63 side of it so Ill assume thats what it is.
Also when I search car-part it says locking on the pre-'06s, I should assume that is a LSD?
And now for the retard question.
The H233B is a the 3rd member axle right?
And the other option is a D44 hybrid?
Have any pictures of both?

Yes Carpart calls LSD a locker.:shaking:

Apparently I stand corrected on the width. I didn't take the wheel offset into account.
Yes, the H233B is the third-member/drop-out style, and the C200 resembles the D44 (one-piece w/ rear cover). There's no "D44 hybrid" other than the mutant D44-based axle that the Titan and some 05+ Xterra and Frontier models have. It's supposedly a D44 by some measure, but it shares nothing with any other D44 out there.
