Talked to the neigbor tonight and he has a Turbo 350 out of a mid 70's Buick Car. Says it has a "universal" bellhousing to bolt up to my Chevy 350 out of my Suburban. Will this work and what type of adapter do I need for the ouput? This is going into a lengthened CJ-5 with my np208 transfer case!
I did SEARCH for "TURBO350" and didn't find much!!!

If it's a uni-bolt case all you'll need to do is swap out the output shaft.

Sorry ForestCam, but if it is an Agricultural related question I will rattle off answer's all day long, but Transmission chit needs to be black and white for this cat. Replace the output shaft with one for a ????? I would assume 350 auto in any four wheel drive application, is this correct? The guy wants $100.00 for it and absolutely guarantees the thing!

you need to replace the output shaft from the T350 2wd vehicle with one for a 4x4 T350. you can either pick one up used or Advanced Adapters sells them for about $75 or $80 ... good luck.

What did the transfer case come from? Was it originally behind a TH350 or TH700? I think the GM 208 has a different spline count for TH400 and SM465 applications. It might work with a factory GM adapter though, count the splines on the NP208 input and TH350 output. If it doesn't you will have to swap the output shaft for one that will.

As far as bolting it up to the engine is concerned, you need an adapter plate, which I belive advance sells, but would be extremely to duplicate cheep if you had one to look at. (only 3/16" or !/4" plate with a few holes drilled in it.

No you don't, not if it's a dual pattern case. It will bolt up to either a Chevy or a BOP engine, nothing else is required.
