Hey guys im looking for a used gas tank to replace a rusted piece of crap. It's a 72 fj40 either metal or poly.

Maybe it's just me, but for something like a fuel tank, I think it is worth spending the $165 for a new poly one. Cause chances are, if you buy a used metal one, you are just going to end up with someone else's rusty, crappy one. Just my 2 cents

I got one. It's the one I used last year. It's not rusty or crappy either. It just needs a new drain plug because I used it for my EFI supply line and the return went to the old one.

Other than that, it's ready to go. I changed over to a 32 gal fuel cell in the back, so that's why I'm selling. It's not rusty, and has the original sender in it.

I'm in Calgary, AB CANADA.

Email me offline or PM me if you want to give me an offer.

Tim.

Just thought it would be interesting.. We dont get aftermarket tanks here in Pakistan and the ones that we do get are too expensive.. So the denters here have started making the tanks themselves.. I will get a few pics soon and post them up..

You also don't live in the land of liability, with a lawyer on every corner waiting to cash in. I investigated a custom tank a few years back, and the few places that didn't balk at the prospect, wanted my first born in payment.

I know.. We dont have that problem here but even then we make sure our tanks are guaranteed by the maker for a few years at least..
