Hello all!!!

I need your help.

I bought a d44 custom front with extended radius arms to put under my Rover.
It's all ford stuff. The arms are the 10" (12"??) exteneded superflex arms. The problem I have is that even with 7 degree bushings the steering is a little wonky. (not all over the road but twitchy, and no return to center.)

Is there a way to get more castor w/o dropping the back bracket down???

10 degree bushings?

cut the arms and reweld together with some castor correction?

Or bite the bullet and turn the flange. ( I'd have to cut off the track bar mount and the steel wedges off the axle to turn it. so a lot more work!!!)?

I know that #3 is the right thing to do but if anybody has something else let me hear it!!!

Looking for positive feed-back, ( I've been shaking my head for a few weeks already!!!!)

How about fabbing a set of radius arms that allow you to adjust castor?

I had the same issue with my truck and my Superflex arms. I didn't want to drop the frame mounts at all and 7* bushings weren't cutting it. I ended up cutting the wedges off my axle, realigning them with 4* bushings, setting my caster to what I wanted, and welding them back on. I really wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be but it does take some time. Now it drives and flexs very well.:smokin:

Broke, I know I'm just being lazy I guess!!! It really is the right thing to do, it drives well enough down the road I just think I can do better!!!

Picture a long main link going from the chassis to the lower hole on the radius arm mount.

About 1/4 to 1/2 way down the length of this main link will be a mounting tab for a shorter adjustable link that bolts to the upper hole on your radius arm mount.

Changing the length of this smaller link adjusts your castor.

A good example of this is found on the Rubicon Express lift kits for Jeeps IIRC.

cut the wedges off and rotate them or cut the c's off and rotate them
