After discussions with those involved last year and knowing that something was needing to be done to get it moving. I had thrown in my hat to organize the club challenage event known to all as CARNAGE ON THE CON II. Lance and others have told me to run with it so I will, If this is unacceptable to any who plan to participate....tough.....

We are looking at a couple of possible sites and should have something set soon. The date will be set as soon the property (private) is secured. Everyone will have at least two weeks notice, prior to the event. The event will not be held until after the end of June, so start getting ready.

The course will not be designed by Bob, for he will be representing the Pirates, but will be designed by an experienced course designer.

The areas I am looking at are located in northen cal. We will considered socal for next year if a sourthern club wins this one.

We would like all the clubs interested in competing in this event to register/sign-up with me. Please provide me with a contact for the club (representitive), a list of those to participate, etc....

This will be used a fundraiser for a Rubicon defense fund. Spectotrs will be welcome, but an admission fee will be collected, and accounted for. The event will carry insurance just as with any organized event. Rules of engagement will be release at a later date. No vehicle classifications, this is a run what you brung event. Safety standards will be inforced as was done at the PUT-UP or SHUT-UP.

All the sites that I'm looking at are virgin lands to wheeling in 4x4's, but have been used for other activities. And knowing how I like the shade, more than the sun, you can bet there will be shade somewhere near the course...:D

And my offer stands from the thread awhile back....I'll keep an eye on everyones ice chest until the competition is over....:D

Well, this sounds like heeps o' fun! As long as it is the last weekend in June or I can't make it! I have manditory training in Martinez CA, May 29th - June 27th. :( If I miss this I am going to be pissed!!

Hell, if this event can be pulled off without the resource overloading of the last one, and the swirling rumors, that's a GOOD thing. Plus, my guess is that any money made from it will go not to Rich, but rather to Land Use... so bring it on!

NOPE..... If an event of ANY sort is going to be held on private property, you MUST have insurance to keep the owner from getting sued. Rich is being WAY COOL to help us organize it and get all of our ducks in a row, so if you don't like it, go hang out on the Rubicon. :rolleyes:
