Friend has a 96 Cherokee and she says air blows only from the defroster. On the Fords this means a vacuum leak and I'm guessing the same for the Jeeps, but I'm clueless.

Any common known vac leaks she could look for to patch?

Check the connection to the black canister. It will be in the stock bumper or it will be somewhere near the battery. It looks like a 10lb black potato. When mine was doing the same thing that was the only vacuum like that seemed to make a difference. Sorry I couldn’t be more technical.

I know on the ford Superdutys, it is common for the lines that go to the vacuum lock hubs to break off. Anything like that on the Cherokees?
