It's new & says it's different. I'm wondering if it's too good to be true.

seems to be nothing but good reviews on the diesel boards.

I have the Smarty on my 01 Ho 6 speed. I say nothing but good about it, super easy to use, invisible, its constantly updated via the website etc. I gained a lot of power and driveability over the Bullydog chip I had before. I stacked both of them for a while. It was insane how much power and smoke it had. Anyway find someone in your area and borrow it for a ride you will be impressed, Later Blair

thx. guys, Everything I've been reading on it says it's a lot more reliable but not as much HP as the edge comp.

But I'll take the reliability, I've got an '01 CTD with an auto. so I don't want to burn up the tranny.

If you don't want to burn up the tranny...don't bomb it. Bottom line

Seriously though if you dont want to spend $4K on a new tranny LEAVE IT STOCK !!!!!!!!!

We're not joking, re-search stock dodge tranny's and you'll cange your mind. There's no cheapo alternitve like TV shows make you believe (change 2 springs and drill a few holes and you'll be able to support 400HP)

As far as the smarty goes I cant wait for the 3rd gen smarty, it will be even better then the 2nd gen since the CP3 flows better then a VP44.

yeah, I was hoping to hold off on the tranny, because I knew it would be expensive, but I looked into it more and I'm gonna do the tranny first.

With the $$ in the tranny I'm gonna hold off on engine mods for a while.

I have a 2001.5 and I have the SMARTY stacked with the Edge Comp. I really like the smarty. I would recommend it to anyone. What Dan says about the tranny is 100% for sure! I also have a built DTT. The useability of the smarty is really nice and I love the anti-defueling. Now my truck pulls HARD all the way to redline.
Anyways, you are welcome to run my smarty around the block in your truck next time I am in Pville, its usually evey weekend so just give me a call.
