I need to change the tail cone on my 89 burbie so I can run a cable speedo. Did chevy every make a 241 with the mechanical setup? Will the tail cone off of a 208 work on a 241?

Thanks in advance

An '89 should have a mechanical speedo, in fact AFAIK, '89 was the only year for the mechanical speedo 241-C. It just so happens that I have one of these cases for sale. $3000, comes w/a free '89 Sub. :D

Thank you very much. I was actually asking for a buddy of mine without a computer, and he is putting a 89 body on a 90 or 91 drivetrain. I thought that the 89-91 were all the same. I will let him know what he needs to look for, thanks again.

Body-wise, the '89-'91s were similar (however I'm not sure when the power mirrors came out, our '89 has the old style).

Motor-wise, the '87-'89s were similar, they changed (among other things) the bulkhead connector and the connector near the computer (from 6 to ~10 pin) for '90.

'81-'88 had the 208, '89+ had the 241.

Let me know if'n your buddy is interested in my 241-C. :D
