For Washington State, Off-Road driving only (no street). Areas like, Evans, Reiters, Manastash, Greenwater, Naches. Is a wider tire better? Lets say 34x9.5 would this be a undesirable tire or a good tire choice?

I believe you have a typo in your post... you meant 39x15.50 right?! If so, yes perfect choice!

Hey Fucko we all start someplace. And to reword my questions, I have a choice of 34x9.5 swampers or 33x12.5 Swampers. Which would you pick for noted areas.

cool your temper...

good god...

neither tire is going to do what you want, guaranteed, i started the same place you are with teh same rig you have, wider is better for the height and top heaviness of your rig (trust me) but seriously step into a 35, the 34's dig holes and the 33's don't give enough clerance

by the way, blasted through any big mud holes lately einstein?

I think there was a pothole in the road with a little mud that he blasted through but thats probably about it..

No I haven't had any time since the rebuild, I'll be going out end of the April hopefully with some swampers and a snorkel. Hows your back, didn't you fall off a roof or something?

Hey Fucko
Thanks for the laugh...caught me off guard and I almost laughed out loud:)

I would agree with DSI. Everyone I know who had 33x12.5s or 34.9.5s have swapped them out for 36x12.5s.

If you have to go with one or the other...I've seen the 34x9.5s work great in the slippery snotty stuff like you get in the naches area. They make you a bit tippy though...maybe look into some wheel spacers until you can swap in a dana 44.

DSI: the 33x12.5 and 34x9.5 (bias) are both the same height, some folks around here run the 9.5's up front and the 12.5's rear.

I forgot they made tires skinnier than 12.5!! :D

Seriously, toss those play tires and step up into the world of 35+ :jeep:

geeze...does anybody run a tire that thin?

Gotta agree with the herd. 12.5" wide MINIMUM and at least a 35". If you don't have enough room for a 35", then you have other issue to worry about than tires....
