2 wiring questions. search provided nothing

Hooking up a flexalite 110 fan, what wire color would be best to use to get 'key on' power for it besides using the radio wire.

Also, after the 1.6 8v conversion, my check engine light now doesn't come on at all. Gotta first check the bulb in the dash cluster but I want to get this working so I can see if there are any codes coming up.

I can't remember, the 'check engine' light should come on solid with key on, before starting when the key is turned on to the ACC position.

I would assume that the 'check engine' circuit in a harness redone by Trail Tough should work.

I have Suzuki FSM and addendum for my '92 but the wiring diagrams are not as valid anymore.

I don't think turning the key to the ACC position turns on the check engine light, but turning it to the ON position does. Mine then stays on solid until the engine is running.:D

My 2 cents would be to wire your fan up using a relay. Take the hot right off the battery and switch the relay on with any of the switched on circuits in the fuse box. That will also allow you turn the fan off during deep water crossings by adding a toggle on the dash:smokin: .
