i want to bob the rear of my grand wagoneer and to do that i will need coils. i just need to know if i can find some from a junk yard and if so what kind of donor truck(s) can i use?

aerostar coils...
but personally, how about 1/4 elliptical and a 1 link?

what kind of ride hight would i get out of the aeros star springs? and how would one set up the 1/4 elliptical. im a little fuzzy on that set up. can you explain how it works?

im not sure 1/4 elliptical will work for a grand wagoneer. i think the weight would work against that setup, although i do like the idea. i can shave off about 8 inches from the rear without messing with the leafs but it still leaves too much hanging over.

I wouldnt put aerostar coils on anything heavier then a golf cart... they are way softer then anything you will find on a common four wheel drive application.
I would look into some XJ lift coils or earlier bronco coils... if your rig has a fat ass stock f-150 coils are worth a try and I'm sure you could find those in the junkyard.
Also 1/4 eliptical springs can definatly be built to handle the weight of your truck

the f150 coils sounds like a good idea, thanks. how are they held in place? if they use buckets ill try to make them work, if not i may try to make some. what about axle wrap, whats the easiest way to do it witout busting the bank?
