I'm swapping over to toyota axles and toyota IFS PS pretty soon and trying to determine which high steer setup to run. I'm looking at Trail Gear and Sky's. There's a slight cost difference but I can't really tell what the difference between the two kits are.

The sky kits is $429.

The trail gear kit is: $369.

Anyone have any experience with either one of these kits or know of a better kit I should consider?

Thanks,
Billy

Marlin's kit is in the middle, at $399. http://www.marlincrawler.com/htm/steering.htm

Unless there is some real difference that I don't see, I would go with the Trail Gear stuff and save some money. If you could just get one of those manufacturers to build their pitman arms with the taper coming in from the top, it would be the bomb in a Sami...........

I have the Trail-Gear on my Samurai. I am testing a Prototype flat pitman arm that will help with steering box positioning. We expect to have these in volume very soon and they will be the same price as our Toyota kit.

I bought Sky's high steer arms and I made my own tie rod and drag link. They are well made and I haven't had any issues with them. I also have the toy IFS box.

Sky's arm are made from billet and Trail-gear's arms are forged
I have the kit from Marlin crawler with the billet arms. I vote for the billet.
Never had a days problem with the Marlin kit.

Anybody know where a guy can buy the pipe already pre-bent to make an offset dropped draglink for crossover steering. I am running a ton of lift for big tires?

You may not know this but just putting a "S" in the drag link will do nothing for bumpsteer. It will steer the same as a straight link and be much weaker. The only reason to use a bent drag link is to clear a frame, engine or other part. If you use a bent rod, it must be much larger then a straight one.
