Bed will be 48"X 48" and a 24" extention will fit into reciever to haul son's Quad. I don't like the rear shackle angle, something may have to be done about that:

tare the spring mounts in the stock location, and he just used the TT kit to mount the YJ springs?
If so what did he do to get the springs to bolt to the axles so nicely? New perches?

They're in the back of his Ford and he's awlful pride of them. I need 30 spline Longs first. Sorry Gary, are you asking about the trailer in the first two pictures? It's like mine 6' X 10' in size and works very well. More pics coming and the u-bolts I had made local. Picture of pitman arm or the arms on the knuckles? I stretched the pitman arm 1" like mine. You have to on the Track/Kick setup with Toys.:D
Yes "are you asking about the trailer in the first two pictures?"
Yes, it looks light & simple. Not sure how well it is balanced but it looks nice.

It's well balanced and is a dream to pull. Jim, here your old locks:

Haven't trimmed it yet so no pix yet. But look at 300sniper's thread: tube front clip / cage build up. Tim Hardie does killer work, I just hope to do as good as some of his work on Alex's.:smokin:

One very nice thing is the rings will take most any abuse and are easily replaced, and their rings are beefy thus sparing the wheel . My new ones are dual locks so twice as much fun with 2 rings each wheel.

Sorry there. I though you could tell it's a high steer arm and it's from Trail Tough. Looks to be Marlins or All Pro's arm. Or are you asking for pitman arm?:
Uglychevy383
06-10-2006, 06:13 PM
not the pitman but the steering arm. no didnt know who or what it was, just wanted to see how it all looks there.

has anyone ever welded the back 6-12" of a tin top to the front half of a soft top like you are doing? this way you would have a glass back window with a removable targa. you could even make an "extended cab" version with a little work and custom side glass. that would be cool.

Do a search, it's been done. Says in the thread that the body lines were a pain to mate for an extended cab.
I have thought about doing something similar to here and making a flatbed but have a decent 'semi rust-free' tub that I just can't bring myself to cut.

You can see a tin top in the first two pictures. Alex wants to be able to remove doors and top or replace in the winter. I have another couple of tin tops at home, but here the convertibles are more in demand. Anyone want a free tin top?:D

Doing something similiar as far as closing in the cab on my sammi after my short stretch. Saw that filler and thought, wow thats tit. At the moment I've been toying with jsut moving the stock tank up to have its belly at the bottom of the frame raisl to completely avoid the puched back axle. But if i could squeeze it infront of the axle a little lower I'd rather go that route and have a lower deck height on the rear. Is that the stock sammi tank in there sideways?? Anymore pics of the filler, tube routing, etc??
