converting 88 sami to tracker fuel injection

just as title says what all do i need off of the tracker? i know i need the interior, exterior wiring harness, speedo, ecm. will the 1.6 intake bolt up to my 1.3 or do i need to find an intake off of a f.i 1.3 sammi? any info and help is appreciated, thanks for the info in advance

well, if your 1.6 is an i valve, then the exhaust and intake manifolds bolt right up. as does the head. you'll need the harness, ecm, all the hardware and sensors, (duh) and that's about it. I'm using the stock speedo cuz it's driven off the 'case. you'll need a kit to bolt it to the stock tranny and get it in. I suggest the calmini kit, I got one and it's great. you also need the starter.
leave the stock harness in for the dash and the chassis electrical. use the new harness just to run the motor. you'll need a coolant temp sensor for the new harness ecm. the stock one you got now goes to the temp gauge and I'm not sure if the voltage can be split between two things without dropping.
there should be 2 or 3 places for a coolant temp sensor. if not, you can get a manifold from a sammy or 'kick that had AC. there's a coolant temp sensor just for the ac system to know if the motor's getting too hot, so it would shut down. just use that sensor for the new ecm.

distributor. And if ya use the 1.6L head the valves are bigger, but the combustion chamber volume is the same. Think the intake runners are the same too. No place for the mechanical fuel pump anymore, but you can't use it with EFI, you hafta git a proper EFI pump like whut will go in the tank. Or a Ford one that sits outside the tank.
