I just installed a TBI based fuel injection system onto a Jeep waggy.
Is the throttle body supposed to be THAT fawking noisy
I am sitting there looking for a vacuum leak because of this loud sucking (no the loud sucking is not me NOR the jeep :flipoff2: ) and the noise is coming from the throttle body near the idle air control sensor.
I am used to a slightly loud carb or throttle body but this fucker sounds like a jet intake
Its running pimp but if someone could tell me I am not crazy and yes they are normally loud I will be fine.
Thanks

I bet your throttle plate adjustment is off... There is a screw that looks like an idle speed adjustment. Dick with that and it should make a difference. I set mine up using a laptop to see where the IAC was at but I'm sure there is a spec that says to use a feeler gauge to adjust the gap...

Yes they are load, but as Balsax mentioned the IAC adjustment could make it worse. Check out this page number ten for adjustment procedure. Numbers are guidelines for all types of engines with a GM based system.

Thanks :D

Oh and your guys kits fully kicks ass. Started perfect first turn of the key :bounce:

The only thing I had to do to it was extend the distribution control wires.

I will check the adjustment tomorrow when I see if the timing moved any after the shakedown run tonight.
