Can anyone recommend a cheapo (like the HF unit) top load HVLP spray gun? I want to be able to shoot DP and single stage paints. Right now I have a cheapy siphon gun, but it pisses me off when I get paint stutter because the pickup goes dry.
My compressor only puts out about 9 cfm at 40 psi, so I know I will be borderline, but I think I can get away with it.
TIA,
Jim

I bought that littel gun last year oin sale for $30 I think, or maybe it was $49, either way its usually $60-70.
Ive painted some Primer and low cost acylic laquer.
it works great!
Im sure its not as nice as a High dollar gun ( ive never used a HI $ HVLP gun)
but it beats the heck out of the non gravity feed non hvlp guns ive used.
go ahead and order the larger hopper also, the 20 oz stock unit is good for a thin coat on one side of a stock car.

Ozark - how big of a compressor do you have? a have a 4 HP 30 gallon that delivers around 9cfm at 40 psi, so I am not sure if I will have problems with a cheapy.
I may step up to buy a Finishline if I can get the scratch togethr - I am on my 3 mo. of not working...
