The sears are lifetime guaranteed, just take them back for some new ones. Of course you may have to pull a seam apart if they are torn in the knee, or elsewhere. They just guarantee the seams, and zippers.

JC Penney's sells the Big Mac brand (100% cotton to boot) for about $40. I like them better than the Dickies because the Dickies are like 60% polyester and get hot as hell in the summer. Funny thing is the Big Mac brand is now made in Russia. First time I've ever seen a tag that says "Made in Russia" Anyway, they are very durable.

mmmmmm maybe? I shop in the fat ass section :p
Carharts are just to $$$, but i guess it would even out, 100 bucks for carharts or 3 pairs of sears one. for like 1 year. I will take mine back to sears and see if they care, and i will probally rip the zipper to shreads and see if that helps

DICKIES!!!!

They make two different kind, one is the cheap POS you can get at wal-mart, the others I've only been able to find at K-Mart. Cost is nothing, about $30 a pair here in OK, but I've had my pair for 3 years and not a single problem. You can tell the difference in the zippers. The NICE ones have a gold/brass zipper and are a lot heavier. They don't get too hot either.

I buy the used mechanic coveralls from my local napa dealer. They are cheap and sometimes you get a cool name tag. :rasta:
I have one pair that is cut off at the knees and elbows for the summer and a full pair for the winter.

I have to agree. Grandpa wore 'em as lon as I can remember and a guy who chewed Red Man (there was always a pouch in the chest pocket of his bibs), drank Old Milwalkee and lived to be 97 can't be wrong!!!

Another great idea!
I've picked up used ones for around $5 at a uniform company. Also old uniform pants and shirts make GREAT wrenching clothes and you can usually pick them up for $2 a set!

The only pants I wear are carhartts. After a couple years when they get holes in the knee, or if you spill battery acid on them (like i did:D ), i cut them off at the knee for summer use. great pants and coveralls.

The Bic Mac ones are nice.
I have some that were given to me and they are still working out for me after 4 years of me abusing them.

I really like the nomex cover alls my dad brings home from work once in a while :D
They heat up and don't breath like the Macs but I have never cought myself on fire with them yet.
