I have a 350 with an sm465 and stock t-case and my t-case was diagnosed as being rebuilt incorrect. Realistically, what should it cost me to have it rebuilt right? I'm probably gonna send it to Mudrak in the summer and I just wanna know how much I should be spending. Thanks!

By the way, the t-case made an annoying whine when I started revving at about 2000 rpm in 2nd gear and it gradually got worse as I stepped on it and switched into 3rd and 4th.

if you have enugh skillto pull it and
send it to some one else then reinstall it

you can probubly rebuild it youre self.

haveing a good shop rebuild it could run $800

shops have a lot of aditional costs that
they need to cover.

like insurance electricity kids braces
dauters college.

800 sounds kinda expensive. It seems like I can get a used t-case on PBB for like 100 bucks if I look hard enough. Do you think it may be worth that risk? I'm in the San Francisco area but during the week I'm in school in San Jose. If you or anyone you know has a t-case that is in good shape and/or has been rebuilt recently, lemme know. I really wanna get this thing to Tahoe this summer.

Then again, I'd probably have mudrak do all the work and I know he'd do it right. I'm quite low on cash considering that I still owe some money. But I figure that if i do it, I may as well do it right the first time.

Rebuild it yourself. It's fairly simple, and A LOT cheaper. I did mine last summer and that was my first t-case rebuild. Never had a problem. :D

Who did you buy your rebuild kit from?

DUDE, Andrei, I told you, I would rebuild it with you. you say you are low on cash, well save the money, and get your hands dirty. just beacuse a shop is doingthe work, does not mean they will do it right. you had one shop fuck up, who is to say this guy at Mudrack won't fuck up as well. Just do it yourself, and I will help you. Just supply the  and i will do the whole thing for you.

I had Mudrak rebuild my split case with Marks4WD gears while I watched. Mine was the third transfer case he rebuilt that week. This guy knows how to rebuild cruiser transfer cases.

He charged me $300 + parts, mostly gaskets cause my t-case was in a good shape
